On the morning of Saturday, May 12th the rain held out at Winding Trails Camp in Farmington, Connecticut as supporters of the AYA Cancer alliance took off running for the 4th Annual Reid's Run Connecticut. We had lots to celebrate this year, including the fact that among the participants were two young-adult cancer patients, Josh Smith, 27, and Matt Maler, 35, who are being treated in that Program, along with their families and friends. Runners were also joined this year by Mike Isakoff, MD, Director, Reid R Sacco AYA Cancer Program and Aliza Elwell, Associate Vice President, Development, Connecticut Children's Medical Foundation.
This years event was organized by Kurt Knotts, Associate Manager, Philantropic Events and by Liana Boghosian, Reid R Sacco AYA Cancer Alliance.
We invite you to watch this video of Josh speaking, which shows the progress we have made in fighting back. We are more than grateful to all our Reid R. Sacco AYA Cancer Alliance supporters. These lives would not be without them.
